Twinning Protocol: Amadora and Príncipe

"This is an historic agreement! Simple but an act of great importance for our region."

This were the words of José Cassandra, President of the Príncipe Regional Government, at the signing of the Twinning Protocol between the Amadora Municipality and the Região Autónoma do Príncipe, on May 16th, in the Municipal Library Piteira Santos.

Both parties agreed to develop exchanges and cooperation in the fields of Land Management, Urban Hygiene, Environmental Health, Education, Sports and Culture.

"I am sure that we will find ways to establish these partnerships, not only beneficial to Príncipe, but also to Amadora, through a number of programs and communitarian support", said Joaquim Raposo, Mayor of Amadora.
