Launched on 2010, the Networking for Development: from Tow-twining to a more efficient Cooperation project entails the creation of a Virtual Platform where Local Authorities, NGO and other cooperation actors may share Best Practices and look for new partners for future Cooperation Projects. read more...

This virtual platform will also be a useful tool for training and information sharing on development cooperation policy. On the one hand it will work as an e-learning platform where all LA may look up for project cycle management instructions; advices on answering financers’ applications form (both national and trans-national) or even information on available funding grants/budget lines. On the other hand, it will gather central information on development cooperation issues, with special emphasis on Portuguese Speaking Countries’ main features (major needs, and priorities of intervention).
In addition, it will be created a specific section for presenting development actors, their activities and best practices. Namely: NGDOs, LA and NSA, such as local private sector entities, community associations and all other actors who may be interested in sharing, in the platform, their experiences and field of work, within development cooperation dimension.

Plus, it will be created an exclusive section for projects sharing and presentation. Apart from allowing a wider shared knowledge on each other’s work, this section will also foster the creation of new multi-actor partnerships, within different types of actors, and different nationalities.

This virtual forum will gather, as well, the follow up of each activity of the project (meetings, debates, round-tables, workshops and seminar). This will not only allow each direct beneficiary (or visitor) to be updated on project’s activities but will also provide project’s constant monitoring.
